We're looking for a Crew Lead to support the Owner and help keepour shop, catering operations, and staff running smoothly.What We're Looking ForYou're upbeat, organized, and an excellent communicator. In a small business, everyone wears multiple hats---this role blends front-of-houseleadership with hands-on administrative and operations support.Key ResponsibilitiesAdministrative & Operations SupportManage the Owner's calendar, appointments, reminders, and weekly priorities; anticipate needs andmanage follow-ups.Triage inboxes and messages; draft and send professional replies; maintain shared to-do lists andtask boards.Prepare documents, checklists, SOPs, simple spreadsheets/reports, and meeting agendas; capturenotes and action items.Place supply orders; gather quotes; coordinate with vendors and service providers; schedulemaintenance and repairs.Run occasional local errands (e.g., print pickups, post office, small equipment/supply runs).Organize digital records and file physical records; keep paperwork current (permits, logs, trainingrecords, checklists).Verify timesheets and payroll; submit payroll on schedule.Support event/catering logistics (calendar holds, tasting scheduling, confirmations, packing lists,run-of-show).Staff Leadership & Continuing Development (Cashier Liaison)Lead continuing staff development: onboard new hires, run micro-trainings and refreshers, coach forservice standards.Serve as liaison to cashiers: ensure clarity on duties, communicate updates, and provide real-timesupport.Own closing compliance: audit and sign off on nightly closing checklists, safe drops, sanitation, andrestock.Supervise scheduling and shift coverage; manage swaps and call-outs while maintaining servicelevels.Hold brief pre-shift huddles and 1:1 check-ins; maintain training trackers and performance notes.Store Operations & Customer ExperienceBe present on the floor: answer guest questions, support staff, and resolve issues quickly andprofessionally.Keep the shop clean, welcoming, and efficient; uphold food safety and sanitation standards.Maintain equipment; coordinate repairs and preventative maintenance.Oversee cash handling procedures, safe drops, and accurate ventory, Purchasing & ReceivingTrack par levels; place/confirm orders; receive, label, and rotate stock; maintain back-of-houseorganization.Coordinate with production on packaging/labels and with wholesale on case counts and deliveries.Catering & Wholesale SupportCommunicate with catering clients: answer questions, book events, schedule tastings, and prepareevent paperwork.Ensure events are planned, staffed, and executed to company standards; support pack-outs anddelivery logistics.Perform deliveries to wholesale accounts as needed.Cross-Functional SupportAssist production and packaging when needed; jump in where the team needs you most.Qualifications2+ years of restaurant or retail leadership experience.Strong organization, communication, and follow-through; comfortable handling confidentialinformation.Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar) and basic spreadsheets/checklists.Valid driver's license and eliable transportation.Passion for ice cream and hospitalityPay & BenefitsHourly pay: $17--$22/hour (commensurate with experience); tips when working cashier shifts.Bonus opportunities: Eligible for performance-based bonusesPaid time off: Sick time (up to 48 hours/year) starts accruing immediately.
