Knack Workes, a Jacobs company, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer / Network Engineer with 10+ years of IT experience and proven expertise in Micro Focus Network Automation (NA), Network Node Manager I (NNMi), and OpenText enterprise tools. This is a hands-on engineering role responsible for designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise systems, network monitoring platforms, and automation solutions that ensure high availability, scalability, and this role, you will:u2022 Deploy, configure, and maintain Micro Focus NA and NNMi to deliver network automation, monitoring, and fault/performance management across enterprise environments, including the creation and customization of views, maps, and dashboards tailored to customer requirements and requests.u2022 Engineer and support other NMS tools as needed (Content Suite, Service Manager, ALM/QC, LoadRunner, Paragon, Cisco Catalyst Center, etc.) as part of enterprise IT operations.u2022 Perform advanced troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and performance tuning for systems, networks, and enterprise applications.u2022 Develop automation scripts, workflows, and integrations to improve efficiency and reduce manual tasks.u2022 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure, cybersecurity, and application development efforts.u2022 Maintain detailed documentation, system baselines, and upgrade/patch management schedules.u2022 Collaborate with Configuration Management to design, build, and maintain network configuration standards, incorporating input and best practices from the Network Engineering team.u2022 Ensure compliance with security, data integrity, and regulatory requirements across IT systems.u2022 Collaborate with the engineering team to evaluate and recommend tools that support program directives, including initiatives focused on automation and operational efficiency.u2022 Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and support staff, leading efforts to replicate and implement your designs consistently across multiple independent systems.u2022 Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend solutions that align with organizational goals. u2022 TS/SCI w/ CI Poly Clearanceu2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field suggested but not required.u2022 Certifications in Micro Focus NA, NNMi, OpenText, CCNP/CCNA, or ITIL strongly preferred.u2022 10+ years of IT experience, with extensive work in systems engineering and network engineering.u2022 Hands-on experience with Micro Focus NA and NNMi (deployment, configuration, tuning, and support).u2022 Experience with OpenText or other Micro Focus enterprise tools in IT operations or content management environments.u2022 Strong understanding of network protocols, fault management, performance monitoring, and automation. Previous experience with other NMS tools is highly desirable.u2022 Prior experience in defense, government, or large enterprise environments highly desirable.u2022 Advanced technical expertise in network automation, systems integration, and enterprise monitoring tools.u2022 Proficiency with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, or similar) for automation tasks.u2022 Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.u2022 Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.u2022 Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, hybrid IT environments) preferred.Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
