Description: You will be the Software Engineer Senior - Test Automation for the Integrated Fighter Group (IFG) which is responsible for delivering advanced avionics test solutions for the Fu201116 and FAu201150 programs. What You Will Be Doing As the Software Engineer Senior - Test Automation you will be responsible for driving automated test development and supporting systemu2011level verification activities. Your responsibilities will include: + Develop and maintain automated test scripts using TWIN and Python for Fu201116 and FAu201150 avionics systems. + Build and enhance software tools/macros that streamline systemu2011level testing. + Write requirements and design specifications for new testu2011automation tools. + Coordinate with the automated test environment team to execute test pipelines and analyze results. + Support nonu2011automation tasks such as lab testing, procedure development, and budget estimation across multiple avionics domains. Who You Are You are a collaborative, detailu2011oriented engineer with a strong foundation in both software and systems engineering. You bring handsu2011on experience with avionics testing and a proven ability to develop robust automated solutions. Your communication skills enable you to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams, and your proactive mindset drives continuous improvement in test processes. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secretclearance. A companyu2011sponsored interim secret is required to start. Basic Qualifications: u2022 Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering, Computer Engineering or similar STEM discipline u2022 Software development experience u2022 Proficient with Python u2022 Experience using GIT Desired Skills: u2022 Experience developing automation scripts u2022 Experience standing up and implementing new software tools including automation frameworks u2022 Fighter aircraft avionics experience including but not limited to A-G weapons, UAI, A-A weapons, sensors/pods, communication systems, navigation system, etc. u2022 Proficient in VBA, C#, and/or SQL u2022 Understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) model development and integration including experience using generative AI u2022 Experience operating in an agile environment u2022 Proficient in data analysis, problem identification/isolation, and troubleshooting u2022 Understanding of the systems engineering process u2022 Experience with testing of avionics software and hardware u2022 Experience creating digital visualizations of metrics with Tableau, MS Power Apps, Excel, etc. u2022 Excellent written and verbal communication skills u2022 Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment u2022 Proficient with Microsoft Office u2022 Physically able to access aircraft cockpit test fixtures and conduct lab testing for typical 6-hour test shifts. u2022 Must be willing and able to conform with flight line dress code and FOD requirements. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
