The BIM Detailer Iis responsible for the creation and modification of documents anddrawings in 2D and 3D from conceptual design through successfulinstallation for electrical and specialty system construction. The idealcandidate must be proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft 365 Suite.Knowledge of the required software is a plus (Revit MEP, Navisworks,Bluebeam, BIM 360 Glue, G Suite, Microsoft Teams, etc.). This positionworks in a team environment and must be able to effectively collaborateverbally and in writing, be reliable and possess a positive work ethic,and have strong problem-solving skills as well as interpersonal andcommunication skills. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: High school GEDrequired, education in Architecture or BIM Technology preferred.Experience: Electrical and/or specialty systems field experiencerequired and/or job-related experience in 2D and 3D modeling. 5 yearsfield and/or technical experience combined, or 2-3 years of softwareexperience preferred. Fundamental understanding of codes: NEC, BICSI, orNICET Understand how linked Revit files work Create/modifyschedules for drawings Setup view filters/templates Clearly andaccurately layout a conduit rack with proper parameters, conduitspacing, conduit sizing, j-box size and location, while modeling itclash free Accurately model electrical equipment/light fixtures perproject specs and submittals with the correct parameters, housekeepingpads/skids, light fixture supports, power strut Clash modeled contentfor electrical equipment/light fixtures per project specs and submittalswith the correct parameters, housekeeping pads/skids, light fixturesupports, power strut (accurately export NWC's and rerun tests) Clash modeled content for electrical feeder/branch conduit racks perproject specs(accurately export NWC's and rerun tests) Place andcode the APL points and export the point file from the project Revit Navisworks BIM360/ACC Bluebeam Google Suite Smartsheet Excel Travel: 5-10% Work Schedule: This position works between the hoursof 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. However, work may be performed at anytime on any day of the week to meet business needs. Overtime may benecessary to maintain project tracking and field deliverables. KEYRESPONSIBILITIES Comprehends, navigates, and utilizes design,construction, and submittal documentation . Understands NationalElectric Code and applies that understanding to modeling . Demonstrates knowledgeable layout of racks and different systems . Tracks changes by design team or others and understands theimpact/cost/timeframe it will have on project. Understands a projectspecific BIM Execution Plan and how it relates to the modeling effortsin meeting a project's contractual requirements . Works within theestablished company standards . Models electrical components andcontent to accurate dimensions, orientation, and elevation . Createsassembly documentation from the model as required to meet detailedmanufacturing requir ments .
