Production Superintendent

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Lead mid-range production goals and objectives in theareas of safety, quality and productivity while providing direction tothe Production Leads / Maintenance Manager. Provide leadership anddirection to the production team to meet and/or exceed strategic goals.Responsible for developing and growing talent within the department.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide leadership and directionfor the day-to-day functions of the plant processes and employees.Facilitate quality and safety improvements across the business. Leadsefforts to achieve monthly production goals and takes action to addressbarriers. Reviews daily production with production leads to addressissues and recognize performance. Develops and mentors direct reportscreating individual development plans and providing regular feedback.Sets and communicates expectations and drives accountability for planthousekeeping. Confers with Safety Department on safetyissues/improvements. Contact for vendor partners on capacity expansionprojects. Liaison with Scheduling team to optimize production routings.Monitors development, training, evaluation, and disciplinary processesfor plant employees. Participates in the strategic and capitalimprovement planning process for business. Works with production teamregarding plant supply/machinery purchases. Other duties as assigned byVice President. Education and Experience: BS degree in Business,Operations, or related fields or equivalent experience. 5-10 yearsexperience and/or equivalent combination of education and experienceleading teams within a production environment. Job Knowledge, Skills,and Abilities: Must be detail oriented and possess strong analytical,organizational, and problem-solving skills.
