We have a strong backlog and our business continues to grow in the Data Center, and Water/Wastewater markets. We are looking for a strong structural design professionals, well versed in concrete and structural design, with experience designing building structures, equipment foundations, access platform, piping, pipe-racks, building platforms, tanks and other related structures and systems for Industrial, water or manufacturing facilities. Location These positions can either be based out of our Lenexa Kansas, Lone Tree, Colorado, Westlake or Houston Texas or Minneapolis Minnesota office. Responsibilities u2022 Prepare designs for structures including research, system selection, analysis, and drawing preparation on projects ranging from moderate to large in size and complexity. May be assigned as the Lead on one or more projects. u2022 Apply department and industry standards to oversee the preparation of calculations, project drawings, and project specifications. u2022 Mentor and direct the work of entry and mid-level employees for skills development. Reviews their progress and results. Provides direction and coaching, as needed. u2022 Leverages Building Information Modeling (BIM) to create plans, drawings, and details. u2022 Incorporate the requirements of the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract, customer Requests for Proposals (RFPs), professional service agreements, or other contractual requirements ensuring the projects meet or exceed project goals. u2022 Coordinate with internal and external partners including cross-discipline, construction, vendors, fabricator(s), and owners to address structural-related issues or concerns. u2022 Recommend changes for standards or process improvements, as needed. u2022 Prepare, monitor, and update project plans, schedules, and budgets (including staffing needs) to project management and department management. Support estimating, scheduling and project controls as needed with information on your project. u2022 Support department managers in setting and achieving performance goals for the department. Qualifications u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Engineering in a civil or architectural engineering program from an ABET accredited four-year college or university program. Some mastersu2019 coursework preferred. u2022 Licensed Professional Engineer or in the process of completing your PE within the next 6 to 12 months. u2022 At least 8 years experience in structural engineering and design in both concrete and steel. At least 3 three years working in industrial, manufacturing, water/wastewater or building markets. (Prefer water/wastewater design experience). Experience leading projects and mentoring other engineers. Experience with modular structural design highly desired. u2022 Must be able to communicate effectively and constructively with other team members and disciplines both verbally and written form u2022 Functional in utilizing spreadsheets, databases, word processing, and computer operations u2022 Knowledgeable and experience in engineering software: CSi SAP2000 and SAFE, RISA Suite. u2022 Knowledge and experience with BIM software: (Revit preferred), AutoCAD, and Navisworks.3D modeling experience required u2022 Must be able to represent Kiewit Industrial Engineering in a professional manner to owners, contractors, vendors, and any other contacts outside Kiewit organization #LI-JB1 Other Requirements: u2022 Regular, reliable attendance u2022 Work productively and meet deadlines timely u2022 Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment u2022 Perform work safely and effectively.
