Description: We are seeking an experienced Electro-Optical Engineer to join our team F-16 team in Fort Worth, TX. As an Electro-Optical Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of cutting-edge Electro Optical / Infrared (EO/IR) sensor technologies, driving supplier coordination, integration, product innovation, and ensuring successful flight test and product delivery. A key focus of this role will be the integration of EO/IR Pod capabilities onto the F-16 platform as well as other Lockheed Martin Aeronautics (LM Aero) platforms, requiring close collaboration with our engineering teams and the supplier's leadership and technical teams. Key Responsibilities: u2022 Act as optics technical SME for the F-16 PODs team u2022 Review and ensure technical integrity of requirements and manage contractual data deliveries u2022 Collaborate with the supplier's technical team to streamline integration and implementation of cutting-edge Electro Optical / Infrared (EO/IR) sensor technologies u2022 Work closely with internal Lockheed Martin Aeronautics cross-functional teams to ensure successful product integration and delivery, including planning, monitoring, and tracking program tasks and schedules u2022 Ensure compliance with Lockheed Martin's quality and security standards, as well as those of specific Aeronauticsu2019 programs u2022 Identify opportunities for digital transformation (DT) and facilitate knowledge The selected candidate must have or be able to obtain a final DoD Secret security clearance prior to start of work, must maintain a DoD Secret clearance and be able to obtain and maintain a SAP/SAR clearance. Basic Qualifications: u2022 Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college in Engineering or a related discipline u2022 Familiarity with EO/IR Sensors, General Avionics, EW/CM, Radar, CNI or Fusion Systems u2022 Strong Systems Engineering Development and Integration Skills u2022 Familiarity with engineering oversight of supplier(s) u2022 Exceptional interpersonal communication and presentation skills u2022 Strong organizational skills - ability to oversee multiple tasks simultaneously; ability to identify and resolve task conflicts and issues Desired Skills: u2022 Master's Degree from an accredited college in Engineering or a related discipline u2022 Experience with Military or Government Programs u2022 Fundamental understanding of Electro Optical, Infrared and/or Laser Systems with experience integrating those systems u2022 Laboratory, Field, or Flight Test experience with Electro Optical, Infrared and/or Laser Systems u2022 Professional and interpersonal communication skills required to interface with individuals from various disciplines while performing complex serial and parallel tasks u2022 Demonstrated ability to deal with highly complex and challenging electronic systems u2022 Robust experience interfacing with suppliers, customers, and subcontractors Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
