Description ESSENTIAL TASKS/RESPONSIBILTIES: + Take vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, heart rate, and weight. + Perform basic laboratory tests (e.g., blood draws, urinalysis). + Administer injections and vaccinations as directed by the physician. + Completes all tasks related to specialty medications + Supports the acupuncture process EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION: + High School diploma or equivalent required with completion of an accredited phlebotomy program and national phlebotomy certification, specialized training on intramuscular and subcutaneous medication injections OR completion of an accredited medical assistant program with national medical assistant certification. + Basic understanding of pharmacology and medication administration techniques. + Previous experience in a behavioral health setting preferred. + Knowledge and experience working with the population of the facility preferred. + CPR, first aid, and de-escalation certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
