Apply today to further your careeru00a0u00a0DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs a Highway Foreman 2, your duties will include, the supervision of patching, crack sealing, shoulder stabilization and repair, installation and cleaning of drainage pipe, guide rail installation, roadway sweeping, litter pickup, filling potholes, roadway widening, complaint investigation and resolution, and directing emergency response to snow and ice, storm damage, or vehicle accidents. You will exhibit strong communication skills, by completing and keeping clear, accurate records of field work activities, preparing payrolls, monitoring overtime equalization, and immediately reporting unusual occurrences, crew injuries, and equipment accidents or damage.u00a0You will also recommend and schedule scopes of work, workforce requests, equipment and materials to minimize nonproductive or down time which includes year-round planning, carrying out and finalizing all phases of a project or assignment. In addition, you will provide support as the Safety Foreman for paving and seal-coating operations, fill in at any of the county stockpiles, including night shift crews depending on management needs.
