Duties and Responsibilties of Job: JobPurpose: Our CDL Class A Truck Driver will be responsible for providingexceptional service to our clients by partnering with a successful teamof innovative and value driven employees to deliver and pick up stock asrouted in a timely and safe manner. Job Responsibilities: Transportgoods and supplies onsite and offsite working within establishedprocedures to ensure on-time delivery. Visually inspect loaded trucks toensure the orders are pulled, packaged, converted, shipped and loadedproperly to avoid damages during transportation. Report all defects orequipment problems to supervisor. Work according to an assignedschedule. Provide professional and courteous interactions with customersto provide a positive experience File and retrieve the proper documentsand delivery records from the company filing systems while monitoringthe inventory quality and quantity availability. Follow a range ofmandatory work instructions to safeguard the environment and thewellbeing of oneself and others. Report any problems or issues withfacilities and customers. Operate various equipment and machines,adjusting one or more variables to achieve efficiency. The driverposition may also help with various warehouse duties including orderfilling, loading/unloading of trucks, wrapping and other duties asassigned. Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications: Must beavailable to start work at 5:30 a.m. Must observe all Department ofTransportation and driving regulations resulting in a safe drivingrecord and a clean Motor Vehicle Record. Hazmat endorsement preferredand required within your first six weeks of hire. Ability to operate avariety of material handling equipment required. Liftgate experiencepreferred. Familiarity with a computerized warehouse system preferred.Excellent organizational, time management and customer relations skillsare required. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detailrequired. Ability to work independently, as well as in a teamenvironment. Must have a valid Class A CDL. Position requires a minimumof 21 years of age. Physical Requirements: Thephysical requirements listed below are representative of those needed tosuccessfully perform the essential functions of the job. This list isnot exhaustive and may be supplemented and changed as necessary. Abilityto frequently lift, twist and turn, and carry 50 - 75 pounds, manipulate(push and pull) up to 160 pounds of product with material handlingequipment, and skids weighing up to 2,000 pounds utilizing pallet jack.Ability to repetitively open and close shipping container doors weighingapproximately 500 pounds, swing doors weighing approximately 300 pounds,and operate a lift gate. Walking/Standing - frequent walking andstanding. Standing may be on the ground or while operating MaterialHandling Equipment (MHE). Sitting - frequent sitting including atstationary locations and while driving. Stooping - periodic stoopingincluding need to bend at the waist. Kneeling on occasion. Climbing -frequent climbing, including need to get in and out of the cab andtrailer of the truck as well as ability to climb and use 3 po nts ofcontact method.
