As a Superintendent, you will play a key role in the success of Weeks Marine projects across the NE region of US. This role requires excellent communication skills, as youu2019ll collaborate with various people, such as craft workers, job teams, and engineers. District Overview Established in 1919, Weeks Marine, Inc, Inc. is one of the largest marine, dredging and tunneling contractors in North America and has successfully completed projects throughout North and South America, from inland waterways to offshore sites in the Pacific and the Atlantic. Weeks Marine is headquartered in Cranford, New Jersey, and manages a network of regional offices in Louisiana, Texas, Hawaii, Guam, Ontario, and Nova Scotia. Location This position will be based out of our Cranford, NJ location. This role requires frequent travel to projects across the NE region on US. Responsibilities u2022 Supervise the crew(s) and craft workers in the application of all projects. u2022 Managing the performance of productivity, safety, quality, and schedule adherence. u2022 Collaborate with engineers, Job teams, etc. to determine project needs. u2022 Utilize equipment, material, and labor to maximize production and minimize costs in assigned responsibility. u2022 Set performance goals and deadlines. u2022 Coordinate and interface effectively with superintendents and Foreman to ensure smooth workflow and schedule adherence. u2022 Resolve employee conflicts, grievances, and scheduling difficulties, informing project and corporate management as appropriate. u2022 Assist in schedule planning, determining craft labor needs, material quantities, equipment requirements, etc. u2022 Keep track of material stock and orders. u2022 Ensure project rules, procedures and programs are followed consistently, including those involving safety, attendance, and workplace behavior standards as reflected in Companyu2019s non-harassment and nondiscrimination policies. u2022 Perform additional ad hoc assignments per managements direction. Qualifications + 8+ yearsu2019 experience in the construction industry, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role. + Must have experience and professional knowledge of heavy civil infrastructure, marine infrastructure is preferred. + Ideal candidate will have project experience with ports, docks, wharves, piers, bridges or other waterfont structures. + Must be able to run multiple crews across various construction scopes. + Knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, engineering drawings and other documents. + Demonstrated ability to efficiently supervise and evaluate craft performance. + General computer skills required, Microsoft Office proficiency (Word and Excel). + Organizational and time-management skills. + Experience with cranes is preferred. + Must have ability to manage and inspire others. + High School Diploma/GED required. #LI-MO1 Working Conditions Other Requirements: u2022 Regular, reliable attendance u2022 Work productively and meet deadlines timely u2022 Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment u2022 Perform work safely and effectively.
