Speech Pathologist - Inpatient Therapy Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303 $42.06 - $63.08 an hour - Per Diem Days, Various shifts and hours per week Range includes per diem differential. +$2.50/hr for weekend shifts. Boulder Community Health is seeking a Speech Pathologist who assumes responsibility and accountability for providing quality care to patients with disorders affecting language, speech, cognition and/or swallowing functions. Speech/language therapy services include the following: assessment of patient level of function/needs assessment, development of treatment programs, provision of treatment and education of the patient, family and caregivers as related to language, speech, cognition and/or swallowing functions. Benefits: u2022403(b)Retirement plan u2022Education assistance program u2022Staff Support Initiatives such as Sound Baths, Meditation, Massages, and Reiki u2022Free one-on-one retirement planning sessions u2022Employee Assistance Program offering 8 free, confidential counseling sessions for you and your family Qualifications u2022Masters Degree in Speech/Language Pathology from a training program or Certificate of Clinical Competency as required and verified by state SLP registration. u2022Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology is required, CCC-eligible, or able to meet the requirements for Clinical fellowship year with appropriate supervision by a qualified clinical fellowship supervisor by date of hire. u2022Current Colorado state license for SLP is required. u2022Current ASHA Certified member preferred. u2022BLS certification required by the end of conditional period. u2022Acute Care experience required u2022Cannot be a recent graduate Responsibilities u2022Selects appropriate tests and measures to determine goals and problems, course of treatment and appropriate therapeutic interventions. u2022Establishes speech/language therapy diagnosis. u2022Formulates and maintains an individualized treatment plan based on functional long and short-term goals. u2022Provides treatment using appropriate techniques and tools. u2022Evaluates patient response to treatment and revises plan of care as indicated. u2022Promotes effective communication and teamwork. u2022Reports and documents evaluations, plans, treatment techniques, assessment and patient progress. u2022Initiates and is responsible for problem solving and decision-making regarding patient care. u2022Functions as an advocate for the patient within the rehabilitation system. Identifies patient/family goals and incorporates this feedback into the overall plan of care. u2022Participates in achievement of department and hospital goals. u2022Evaluates own performance with established criteria and sets goals for improvement.
