Advanced Practice Provider - Boulder Neuro & Spine Associates Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303 $54.02 - $81.04 an hour - Full-Time Days, 40 hours per week Boulder Community Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider for Boulder Neuro & Spine Associates who is responsible for practicing medicine with physician supervision, including conducting exams and writing prescriptions. Within a physician NP or PA relationship, APP exercises autonomy in medical decision making and provides a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services. The role will focus on care of our trauma patients, and will assist in pre- and post-operative care, admission and discharge processes, post-hospital follow up and documentation in compliance with joint commission requirements. This role will collaborate with nursing to develop standards of care and education to best care for trauma patients, and be involved in quality improvement for this population. Surgical assistance in the OR and with procedures will be on an as-needed basis as requested by surgeons. The focus of this role will be trauma patients, but may involve general and acute care patients as needed. Reviews patient records. u2022Interprets and integrates data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures needed. u2022Performs complete physical exam and records findings. Establishes presumptive diagnosis. u2022Orders appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures. u2022Synthesizes data to determine preliminary diagnosis and therapeutic plan utilizing principles of prevention. u2022Prepares written prescription orders for drugs. u2022Assists in transition of care from inpatient to outpatient settings. u2022Completes billing for hospital and clinic visits in a timely manner. u2022Interviews and advises patients regarding health and illness prevention. u2022Instructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions. Provides patient education. u2022Assists physicians by recording patient progress notes. Issue diagnostic orders and transcribes orders. u2022Ability to assess, diagnose, and treat all ages served.
