MakerSpace Adjunct faculty

The MakerSpace ( and General Engineering ( Open Laboratory at Tandon School of Engineering at NYU seeks two or more adjunct faculty to work evening and weekend shifts at its makerspace facilities located at 6 Metrotech and 325 Gold Street, with a start date of October 15, 2025. These shifts include Monday through Friday 5:30 - 10:30 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 am to 6:30 pm. Key Responsibilities Adjunct faculty are needed to monitor the General Engineering Open Laboratory and MakerSpace managed spaces. Duties include: + Supporting student use of equipment. + Ensuring compliance with safety, health, and space usage policies. + Assisting in the maintenance and operation of the facilities and equipment. + Reporting issues to the MakerSpace and General Engineering Managers and Directors. + Masteru2019s degree or higher in engineering, creative technology or a related discipline. + Intermediate or higher level 3D printers, laser cutters and hand tools skills. + 1-2 years of experience in STEM education environments. + Experience working with a diverse population of students, particularly skill levels and interests.
