Dayton Childrenu2019s serves a pediatric population from a 20-county region of central and southwestern Ohio and eastern Indiana. Dayton Children's Hospital has been recognized as a 2025-2026 Best Children's Hospital by U.S. News & World Report in three specialties: NICU, orthopedics, and mental health. Department Specific Job Details: Dayton Childrenu2019s Hospital is currently recruiting a child and adolescent psychiatrist for our mental health unit and consult service. This is a full time, employed position with competitive salary and a comprehensive benefit package. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. This is a new opportunity for staffing the new free-standing behavioral health building. This building will allow the hospital to double the number of behavioral health inpatient beds currently available at Dayton Childrenu2019s, allow expansion for specialized program development and allow for strengthened and smoother continuity of care by bringing behavioral health inpatient, outpatient and crisis services all under one roof. Key Responsibilities: u25cfProvide initial psychiatric evaluations and follow-up medication management in consult and inpatient setting. u25cfSupervise psychiatric residents and child psychiatry fellows from Wright State University u25cfProvide weekend coverage to inpatient psychiatric unit: every 6-8 weeks. u25cfProvide night call for psychiatric service 3-5 nights per month Education Requirements: Certification/License Requirements: At Dayton Children's, we believe that each moment counts with our patients, families, and with each other.
