Staff Accountant

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Memphis, Tennessee. Positions works closely with the Accounting Manager and is responsible for reconciliations, month-end journal entries and other accounting duties as assigned. Requirements u2022 Candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. u2022 Proven experience as a Staff Accountant, or a similar role in the accounting department, is required. u2022 Demonstrable proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel. u2022 Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). u2022 Familiarity with financial accounting statements. u2022 Must possess skills in the 'Month End Close' process. u2022 Excellent mathematical skills and meticulous attention to detail. u2022 Strong analytical abilities to comprehend and interpret financial data. u2022 Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a team. u2022 Excellent verbal and written communication skills. u2022 Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. u2022 Must be ethical, with the ability to maintain confidentiality. u2022 Certification as a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is preferred but not mandatory.
