SummaryJob Description:Registered Nurse-Stroke and Neurology unit, Telemetry (3F)Location:Baptist Health LexingtonSchedule:Full-time 3rd Shift 12-hour shifts 3 days per weekAbout 3F:This unit is a24- bed Telemetry unit that supports our comprehensive stroke program. It specializes in the care of Neurology, Neurosurgery, TIA, and CVA. This unit also serves as an overflow for orthopedic patients. The patient population is transferred from ICU, ED, and PACU.Job Summary:TheRegistered Nurse (RN)delivers compassionate, evidence-based care designed to support healing and wellness. In this role, you'll coordinate, ensure, and provide direct patient care while creating an environment rooted in dignity, respect, and empathy. You will use your clinical expertise and critical thinking to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care for patients across the lifespan.As aclinical nurse, you'll spend the majority of your time (>50%) coordinating, ensuring, and providing direct patient care through:- Conducting nursing rounds, assessments, and treatments- Facilitating admissions, transfers, and discharges- Providing patient and family-centered education- Coordinating care and developing individualized treatment plansKey Responsibilities:- Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans based on patient needs- Administer medications and implement nursing interventions in accordance with best practices and hospital policy- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care- Monitor and document patient responses, revising care plans as needed- Support a culture of safety, quality improvement, and compassionate service- Mentor and support colleagues and new team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environmentMinimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required:- Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky- Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college/university or an associate degree with a minimum of ten (10) years' experience lieu of a bachelor's degree and less than ten years' experience, an associate degree in nursing will be acceptable for initial hire with the understanding that the individual must be enrolled within 12 months in a bachelor's degree program and must have achieved the degree within 5 years.- Basic Life Support (Must obtain within 30 days of hire.)- ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of assignment.Benefits:- Health, Vision, Dental and Pet Insurance- Life Insurance- Short Term and Long-Term Disability and Life Insurance- Identity Theft Protection- Tuition Reimbursement up to $6,000 annually- Company paid Maternity and Paternity Leave- 5 days of Paid Time Off available upon hire- Bereavement Leave (includes pets)- PTO Sell Back Program- Compassionate Leave Sharing Program (PTO Donation)- Employee Support Fund, for employees in need of emergency financial support- Retirement with Company MatchPlease note: These benefits are for our full-time positions.
