Description: You will be an Aircraft Avionics Technician I. What You Will Be Doing As an Aircraft Avionics Technician I, you will be responsible for: u2022The Avionics TechnicianI (LevelI) provides entryu2011level electrical and avionics maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair for the SOF GLSS rotaryu2011wing fleets. MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN u2013 This position is located at a facility that requires special access and is in direct support of a U.S. government contract that requires a company-sponsored clearance to start. Basic Qualifications: 1. Aircraft Handling Knowledge u2013 Understanding of safe grounding, electrostatic discharge precautions, and aircraft handling procedures relevant to electrical work. 2. Maintenance Record Keeping u2013 Ability to accurately document all electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs in required logs and systems. 3. Quality Verification u2013 Demonstrated skill in verifying that work meets required standards for reliability, safety, and airworthiness. 4. Line Maintenance Experience u2013 Capability to support electrical systems during flightu2011line operations with routine troubleshooting and minor repairs. 5. Operational Flexibility u2013 Effective teamwork and independent work habits, with readiness for varying shift structures and travel. Must possess or be eligible for the required security clearance. Desired Skills: Specific Aircraft Electrical Experience Experience with MDu2011500 / AHu2011MHu20116 or similar smallu2011helicopter platforms u2013 troubleshooting, repairs, modifications, and component replacement. Familiarity with Larger Helicopter Airframes Knowledge of electrical systems on CHu2011MHu201147 and UHu2011MHu201160 airframes; ability to support multiple platforms. Specializations (optional) u2022 Avionics Systems u2013 Calibration of navigation, communication, and flightu2011control electronics.u2022 Power Generation & Distribution u2013 Maintenance of generators, batteries, wiring harnesses, circuit protection devices.u2022 Electrical Troubleshooting u2013 Proficient use of diagnostic tools (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, avionics test sets). Certifications FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license, DoD/USAF avionics or electrical certification, or equivalent military qualifications preferred. Technical Training Completion of aircraft electrical/avionics maintenance courses (e.g., Rotoru2011Wing Electrical Maintenance School). Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
