Job Summary Shambaugh & Son L.P. is seeking an Designer for our Electrical Division. In this role you will be responsible for design responsibilities for Design/Build construction projects. #shambaugh #LI-TS #LI-Onsite Essential Duties & Responsibilities + Design electrical systems with AutoCAD and Revit, based on established standards for products, components, and applications + Assist Electrical Engineers with electrical design, Building Information Modeling (BIM), and Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) + Assist with department representatives, architects, engineers, and consultants to establish project requirements, and specifications + Assist with the development and approval of engineering construction drawings + Assist with preparation of project documentation + Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed + Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies + Other duties as assigned Qualifications + Associate or bacheloru2019s degree in Design, Engineering, Construction Technology, or equivalent education and experience + Experience working for a contractor on electrical systems design or in the field is a plus + Ability to work both independently and in a team environment + Small amount of travel is expected with this position as required for project design and execution + Computer literate with MS Office product offerings including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc. + Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit and Navisworks is a plus + Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, in both written and oral work + All applicants must have legal authorization to work in the United States + Valid driveru2019s license and good driving record + Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required Equal Opportunity Employer As a leading provider of mechanical and electrical construction, facilities services, and energy infrastructure, we offer employees a competitive salary and benefits package and we are always looking for individuals with the talent and skills required to contribute to our continued growth and success.
