Robotic Weld Engineer

In this hands-on, high-impact role, you will lead the development, optimization, and troubleshooting of robotic weld cells, Fanuc robotic systems, and advanced automation equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Youu2019ll work closely with engineering, production, maintenance, and suppliers to enhance weld quality, improve cycle times, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities u2022 Lead cross-functional teams to diagnose fit-up issues in large assemblies and implement corrective actionsu2022 Read, interpret, and implement weld schedules; program Fanuc robots to meet all weld specifications and parametersu2022 Evaluate robotic welding processes and develop optimization plans to improve cycle time, throughput, and weld qualityu2022 Analyze designs, programs, simulations, and test procedures for automated machinery and manufacturing processesu2022 Apply engineering judgment when selecting methods and techniques to resolve production, automation, and welding-related issuesu2022 Communicate technical concepts with programmers, using foundational knowledge of PLC programming and industrial controlsu2022 Develop, implement, and support controls architecture focused on system stability, uptime, and ease of operation/maintenanceu2022 Monitor project timelines, technical performance, and budgets to ensure alignment with plant and company objectivesu2022 Participate in team meetings and continuous improvement projects to enhance manufacturing efficiency and cost-effectivenessu2022 Support planning, engineering, and commissioning of controls equipment through final buyoffs in collaboration with suppliers and plant teamsu2022 Design, build, and commission control panels in accordance with NFPA and NEC standards Minimum Requirements + Bacheloru2019s degree + At least 5 years of technical project/program management experience OR + Masteru2019s degree + At least 3 years of technical project/program management experience OR + At least 7 years of technical project/program management experience Additional Requirements + Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
