Splunk Engineer Job Category: Engineering Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI with Polygraph Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: None Type of Travel: None CACI is seeking a highly motivated Splunk Engineer that has 8+ years of experience managing a Splunk Platform, creating Splunk applications, and using IT Service Intelligence (ITSI). The Splunk engineer will build applications to help manage, search, analyze, and visualize data. The role includes troubleshooting and performing Splunk application development following a Scrum Agile approach. The role also includes integrating Splunk with other applications (e.g., ServiceNow) Responsibilities: u2022 Design core scripts to automate Splunk maintenance and alerting tasks u2022 Develop dashboards and reports to display business-critical information u2022 Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and alerts to ensure efficient monitoring and management of IT systems u2022 Engage with Product Owners to align platform capabilities with evolving business needs u2022 Create scalable, flexible security architectures using standards-based integrations u2022 Assist in developing policies for the secure operation of Splunk infrastructure u2022 Support cloud-based deployment and sustainment (AWS and Azure) u2022 Conduct software integration testing and cybersecurity compliance tasks u2022 Automate processes and develop efficiencies alongside development and install teams u2022 Maintain infrastructure for integration, cyber compliance, and network administration u2022 Support both UNIX/Linux and Windows-based systems u2022 Collaborate with IT teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve IT issues using Splunk u2022 Document configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures. Qualifications: Required: u2022 TS/SCI Clearance with Counterintelligence Polygraph u2022 BA/BS degree and 10 years of experience. In lieu of a bacheloru2019s degree 9 years of experience if AA/AS, or 11 additional years of experience with HS diploma u2022 8+ years of experience and demonstrated knowledge supporting IT Systems u2022 4+ years of experience implementing and operating Splunk systems to include universal and heavy forwarders, search heads, deployment server, and indexes u2022 Design, develop, and implement new features for Splunk products u2022 Provide training and support to IT staff on Splunk usage and best practices u2022 Proven experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining Splunk solutions including, but not limited to: Splunk Enterprise, Splunk IT Service Intelligence, Splunk Log Management u2022 Knowledge of Linux security best practices u2022 Knowledge of cybersecurity compliance including RMF and IA standards u2022 Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills u2022 Service-oriented mindset u2022 Strong communication and collaboration skills u2022 Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field u2022 Splunk Certifications: o Splunk Certified for Splunk IT Service Intelligence (ITSI) o Splunk Certified Administrator (SCA) Desired: u2022 Current Security+ or DOD 8570 IAT Level II Certification u2022 AWS or Azure Certification u2022 ITIL v4 Certification u2022 Strong understanding of IT operations, security, and business intelligence. u2022 Good team player with a strong willingness to help others u2022 Experience scripting in the following preferred: o Python, Perl, and JavaScript in relation to Splunk Apps/Add-ons o SQL for querying structured data o Knowledge of XML and JSON for data handling o Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL) for data analysis in Splunk - ________________________________________________________________________________________ What You Can Expect: A culture of integrity.
