Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Toledo, Ohio. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial reporting and accounting functions, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and company policies. Responsibilities: u2022 Oversee accounting responsibilities in areas such as fixed assets, property operating expenses, and revenue reconciliation while ensuring compliance with US GAAP. u2022 Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate and complete accounting records. u2022 Reconcile accounts, monitor variances, and ensure timely resolution of outstanding matters. u2022 Document and improve processes to enhance efficiency and automation, assisting with implementation as needed. u2022 Collaborate with various teams to promote a cohesive and effective work environment. u2022 Deliver exceptional service to internal stakeholders and ensure the accuracy of financial statements. u2022 Provide supporting documentation for external reporting requirements and audits. u2022 Perform key internal controls and assist auditors with testing to ensure compliance. u2022 Conduct ad-hoc analyses and support other projects as required. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in accounting or business with a focus on accounting. u2022 At least 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate or multifamily industries. u2022 Proficiency in month-end close processes, general ledger management, and journal entries. u2022 Strong knowledge of account and bank reconciliations, as well as fixed asset accounting. u2022 Solid understanding of US GAAP and its application in financial reporting. u2022 Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. u2022 Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, detail-oriented attitude.
