Job Summary Thisposition is responsible for pre-visit planning, standard roomingresponsibilities, assisting with procedures, discharge instructions andcarries out both administrative and clinical tasks as directed by amedical provider. This position is instrumental in helping the patientfeel at ease while collaborating with the provider throughout thepatient's visit. What you will do Room patients, perform and documentvital signs and patient backgrounds. Coordinate provider schedules andappointment, enter orders and prepare patient charts. Prepare patients and assist medicalproviders with in-office procedures and prepare and administermedications/immunizations. Maintain exam rooms and equipment to bewithin infection control standards. Ensure appropriate levels of medicalsupplies for each patient room. Education Qualifications Graduate of anapproved Medical Assistant program, Practical Nursing program, or anapproved Advanced Emergency Medical Technician program RequiredExperience Qualifications Minimum of 160 hours of direct patient careexperience as a LPN/MA/AEMT obtained through professional MA/LPN/AEMTwork experience or completion of student clinical rotations. RequiredCurrent clinical experience as a Medical Assistant Preferred Currentclinical experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse Preferred Currentexperience as an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician Preferred Skillsand Abilities Knowledge of principles and skills needed for practicalnurse or medical assistant to provide patient care Knowledge of medicalequipment and instruments to administer patient care Knowledge of commonsafety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environmentFosters work and patient relationships through excellent interpersonalskills and behaviors.
