JOB SUMMARYThe CRNA is a registered nurse and advanced practice nurse who is responsible for working in conjunction with anesthesiologists; surgeons; and other physicians and medical professionals to deliver anesthesia for medical and surgical procedures.JOB REQUIREMENTSMinimum Education- Master's Degree in Nursing AnesthesiaMinimum Work Experience- No previous experienceRequired Licenses/Certifications- Registered Nurse- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist - State of Texas- CPR-ACLSRequired Skills; Knowledge; and Abilities- Knowledge of medical practices; terminology; and reimbursement policies- Thorough knowledge of best evidenced-based practices in anesthesia- Knowledge in conflict resolution- Extensive skill in observation and monitoring patients using vision; tactile sensation; and sense of smell- Skill in planning; organizing; delegating; and supervising- Skill in evaluating the effectiveness of existing methods and procedures- Skill in problem solving- Skill in verbal and written communication- Ability to read; interpret; and apply policies and procedures- Ability to set priorities among multiple requests- Ability to interact with patients; medical and administrative staff; and the public effectively
