Description We are looking for an experienced Corporate Controller to join a fast-growing, private equity-backed government contractor in Fairfax, Virginia. This is a unique opportunity to play a key leadership role in the finance team, supporting organizational growth and contributing to strategic financial initiatives. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, providing technical expertise and hands-on guidance to drive financial reporting, systems enhancements, and integration processes. Responsibilities: u2022 Oversee consolidated financial reporting for multiple entities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policies. u2022 Prepare monthly and annual financial reports for private equity stakeholders, including detailed flux analysis. u2022 Lead accounting system upgrades and transformations to align with organizational growth and acquisition activities. u2022 Support merger and acquisition processes, managing the integration of new entities into the financial structure. u2022 Implement best practices for systems and data integration to streamline financial reporting and consolidation. u2022 Manage external audits and tax compliance, fostering strong relationships with external partners. u2022 Coordinate federal, state, and local tax reporting to ensure compliance with regulations. u2022 Collaborate with business unit controllers to align accounting functions with organizational objectives. u2022 Develop and oversee the preparation of consolidated budgets and rolling forecasts. u2022 Analyze revenue, expenses, and margins to optimize project profitability and guide senior leadership in achieving financial goals. Your base pay will depend on your skills, experience and training, knowledge, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. u2022 Extensive knowledge of government contract accounting and compliance requirements. u2022 Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly preferred. u2022 Proven expertise in consolidated financial reporting and GAAP compliance. u2022 Experience in private equity-backed organizations is advantageous. u2022 Strong technical skills and familiarity with financial systems such as NetSuite, Business Central, or Oracle. u2022 Background in public accounting and audit, with a focus on federal government contracts. u2022 Demonstrated success in driving process improvements and system enhancements to support organizational growth.
