Main responsibilities: As a Facility Maintenance Supervisor, you will provide oversight to shop techs and all maintenance team members. The Facility Maintenance Supervisor will be the pipeline to all techs on maintenance team, projects, and day-to-day maintenance activities; along with providing customer service to all warehouse leadership, department leaders, and all warehouse operational team members. This position will require shift flexibility on weekends and evenings as needed. Schedule and supervise maintenance activities and maintenance teams in the distribution center that align with production and operations. Monitor preventative maintenance programs for equipment and facilities. Negotiate parts purchases and terms. Evaluate equipment and establish a life-cycle replacement program. Work with environmental compliance officers and consultants. Evaluate cost effective maintenance of facilities. Ensure safe testing, operation and tracking of refrigeration systems. Develop and manage employee work schedules Audit employee performance and provide coaching as needed Work closely and communicate with all department management to ensure needs are met. We are looking for candidates who possess the following: Four-year college degree in engineering or equivalent experience. Thorough knowledge of material handling equipment maintenance including electrical, internal combustion, and knowledge of PM cycles for equipment. Thorough knowledge of major ammonia refrigeration systems and HVAC systems. Basic understanding of distribution center electrical, plumbing, fire systems, and storm drains. Strong understanding of distribution center construction techniques and methods. Ability to assist in effectively planning and coordinating distribution center projects. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with basic computer skills in word, excel, and PowerPoint. Working knowledge and experience with maintenance computerized maintenance management systems. Ability to negotiate for purchases and services with good vendor accountability practices. Thorough understanding of environmental policies and procedures relating to the distribution center. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates.
