Join us and become part of a team that strives to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their families every day.Were seeking a highly organized Inventory Coordinator to manage critical supplies, maintain accuracy, and support seamless hospital operations.Job Description:The Inventory Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the hospital remains fully stocked, organized, and prepared to deliver exceptional patient care. This position supports all departments by managing medical and non-medical supplies, optimizing stock levels, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced hospital pensation:$20 - $24/hr., based on experienceAnticipated Schedule:Full TimeExact Schedule TBDEssential Job Functions:Procurement & Inventory ManagementProcure supplies and inventory essential for patient care and hospital operations using approved vendors.Identify alternate suppliers and solutions during supply chain shortages using critical thinking.Proactively communicate anticipated shortages or backorders and propose alternative solutions.Maintain appropriate minimum and maximum stock levels across all departments.Partner with departments to manage department-specific inventory needs.Monitor blood product stock daily; dispose of expired blood and order replacements as needed.Assist the Pharmacy Technician with Cubex stocking and medication returns.Receiving, Stocking & OrganizationCollect, unpack, and audit daily deliveries; organize stock efficiently and accurately.Keep inventory areas clean, organized, labeled, and easy to navigate.Dispose of shipping materials promptly and responsibly.Stock supplies throughout the hospital and assist with training staff on stocking procedures.Maintain a backorder log and communicate updates to teams.Reorganize shelving and supply systems to maximize efficiency.Data, Communication & Process ImprovementConduct daily inventory checks and assist with quarterly counts, including some weekend hours if needed.Audit received items against purchase orders and report discrepancies.Pick up emergency supplies locally; mileage reimbursed.Participate in routine check-ins and meetings with the Inventory Manager.Monitor usage trends and help adjust stock levels.Ensure compliance with all inventory policies and report concerns.Relationship Management & Secondary DutiesMaintain relationships with local hospitals to manage borrowed items and track related anize packing materials for lab samples and perishable shipments.Support ongoing development of inventory workflows and documentation.Perform other duties as assigned.Future Growth & Development OpportunitiesReceive training in handling and stocking controlled substances.Contribute to improved inventory policies and operational efficiencies.Take on expanded leadership responsibilities as the hospital grows. Qualifications: High School Diploma, Associates Degree and or related experience/equivalency preferred Previous inventory or supply chain experience preferredExperience in a veterinary or medical environmentFamiliarity with inventory or ordering softwareAdapts positively to the ever-changing healthcare environment by supporting technology and process changes. Ability to empathize with others and demonstrate a values-based work style is required. Must possess excellent listening and interpersonal skills and problem-solving methods. Must be able to work varying hours as required. On call holidays will be included per a rotation basis with supervisors/leads.Must have basic computer skills including working knowledge office software.Demonstrates the core values and mission statement of Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists in their day-to-day activity, as well as adherence to the team agreements set per the department.
