Chief Financial Officer

They have an immediate opportunity for a Chief Financial Officer - a high-visibility leadership role where you will shape financial strategy, strengthen operations, and support organizational growth. This role is onsite in Annapolis, MD.This is an exceptional chance for a finance leader who wants to make a tangible impact while driving organizational excellence.Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a high-performing culture.Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and grant management.Ensure compliance with regulatory, funding, and legal requirements.Support strategic planning and provide actionable financial insights to leadership.Manage payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and investment oversight.Collaborate across the organization to drive informed decision-making.Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business administration (Master’s preferred).7+ years of finance leadership in nonprofit, government, or philanthropic organizations.Experience managing budgets $3M+ and leading audits and complex reporting processes.Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Track record of successfully working with teams, executive leadership, and boards.Proficiency with accounting systems, Microsoft Office, and donor/client management platforms.Salary range of $125K-$145K, based on experience and qualifications.
