Job Description

The I&E Technician II installs, maintains, and repairs electrical and instrumentation equipment in compliance with all applicable rules, standards, and practices. Ensures production equipment operates at established performance levels and product quality standards. Evaluates electrical systems to develop repair plans, documents issues, and verifies corrective actions taken.Plan, update, and oversee all activities within assigned areas in accordance with laws, regulations, standards, and procedures, with strong emphasis on health, safety, and environmental complianceSupport collaboration between operations, engineering, and project teamsProvide input and review control specifications and work practicesMaintain accountability for electrical and control systems as defined in the Work Management ManualApply and follow work permits through the Permit To Work System (PTWS)Ensure quality and timely completion of work scheduled by the Maintenance ProgramDevelop personal and team technical skills (new regulations, equipment, methods, etc.)Attend and instruct technical meetings to keep technicians informed of latest specifications, codes, procedures, and technologyMaintain open communication on electrical and control issues (safe work practices, training, materials, etc.) with co-workersSupport work prioritization to maximize effectiveness and complement other work groupsProvide technical support for maintenance and troubleshooting of company electrical and instrumentation systemsGenerate Management of Change (MOC) requests for electrical/control equipment and follow up with installation inspections per OIMS Element 3Construct, monitor, and inspect new installations for compliance and recommend upgrades as necessaryAct as stand-in for the Instrument & Electrical Lead when required5+ years of O&G Instrumentation and Electrical (I&E) experience required.TX Journeyman License required. Associate’s degree, preferred.Experience maintaining electrical systems and instrumentation/control systems in processing plants or offshore production facilitiesFamiliarity with regulations applicable to oil and gas operationsKnowledge of OIMS systems, manuals, and proceduresMeets safety, administrative, and technical training requirements per company-approved training roadmapPossesses general competencies and Operations Integrity Critical competency requirements as documented in the Operations Training roadmapProficiency in computing skillsMust meet conditional job offer requirements including background check, drug test, MVR check, and fit for duty/agility test.
