Apply today!Position Summary The Senior Tax Accountant is responsible for maintenance of public company tax provision and the review of specifically assigned tax compliance. What we offer:Full-Time Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, Life)401(k) with company matchTraining and Career DevelopmentGenerous Paid Time-Off Responsibilities:Preparation of ASC 740 quarterly/annual tax provision.Preparation various tax related schedules in the preparation of the worldwide income tax provision.Review of consolidated and separate filing corporate income tax returns.Preparation of state apportionment workpaper schedules. Maintain internal control documentation in a SOX environment.Preparation of various income tax disclosures for SEC filings.Preparation of tax depreciation and amortization schedules. Review of stock compensation schedules to determine proper treatment in the tax provision modeling. Forecasting effective tax rates.Assist in responding to tax notices and participate in the handling of tax audits.Review quarterly general ledger tax account reconciliations and tax accrual account analysis.Research tax questions and issues.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent job-related experience is required3-5 years of experience in tax. We bridge the gap between manufacturers and retailers, providing consumers access to the best products available in the marketplace today.Position Summary The Senior Tax Accountant is responsible for complex projects associated with the maintenance of tax records and the preparation of all or specifically assigned tax returns and related reports.Essential Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesReporting / PreparationAssist in quarterly/annual tax provision and special tax projectsGather data for preparation and filing of income tax returns from various corporate divisions withinCompanyAssist in responding to tax notices and participate in the handling of tax auditsPrepare sales/use, property tax, unclaimed property (escheat), income tax, and other miscellaneous tax filing returnsReconciliation /AnalysisComplete monthly general ledger tax account reconciliations and tax accrual account analysisAssist with tax depreciation computations and schedulesResearch / ResolutionResearch tax compliance questions and issuesMake recommendations to resolve tax issues while weighing risksProcesses / ProceduresInitiate ideas and propose implementation plans to streamline processes and proceduresMaintain and continue to improve knowledge of state and local tax rules and regulationsSupervisory Responsibilities Direct ReportsThis position does not have supervisory responsibilities for direct reportsIndirect ReportsDoes not have direct reports, but may delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reportsTravel and/or Driving Requirements Travel and Driving are not essential duties or functions of this jobMinimum QualificationsEducation Level: (Required)Bachelor's Degree orequivalent experience Field of Study/Area of Experience: Accounting, Finance, or equivalent job-related experience3-5 years of experience in tax4-6 years of directly related sales tax, property tax, or income tax experienceExperience within the corporate tax department of a large multi-national corporation is a plusSkills, Knowledge and AbilitiesKnowledge of laws and regulations applicable to federal and state tax codeGeneral knowledge of GAAP accountingSolid tax and accounting skillsAbility to make oral presentationsExcellent written communication and verbal communication skillsAnalytical and research SkillsWell-organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle a fast-paced work environmentStrong prioritization skillsAbility to work independently and prioritize duties with minimal supervision, in order to meet deadlinesAbility to complete multiple duties with accuracy shifting from one to another with frequent interruptions and competing deadlineAbility to visualize and plan objectives and goals strategicallyExcellent customer service orientationTeam building SkillsStrong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web-browsersKnowledge of computerized information systems used in financial and/or accounting applicationsEnvironmental & Physical RequirementsOffice / Sedentary RequirementsIncumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.
