The areas of expertise for the position may include carpentry, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, hydraulic, and/or HVAC systems. Responsibilities include:Responsible for providing construction services for BRH projects as directed by the BRH Director of Facilities.Operates and maintains construction equipment and machinery.Performs physical labor tasks such as digging, lifting, and carrying.Installs and assembles structures and fixtures.Helps with the installation of systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.Ensures all work is done in compliance with safety regulations and all OSHA, federal and state safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work area(s).Detects faulty operations, defective materials, and any other issues, reporting those and any other unusual situations to the Director of Facilities.Works collaboratively with other team members to meet project deadlines.Other Duties as assigned.High school diploma or equivalent required.Valid North Carolina driver’s license and current automobile liability insurance.2+ years of experience in construction projects, preferred.Knowledge, skills, and experience working with carpentry, plumbing and construction tools and equipment.Knowledge of OSHA, federal and state safety regulations for construction projects.Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Must be able to read and generate written communication and documentation.Ability to communicate any real or potential construction project problems to Director of Facilities and appropriate risk management staff.At Blue Ridge Health our mission is to improve Health, inspire Hope, and advance Healing through access to Compassionate, Affordable, and Quality Care.
