Description We are looking for a dedicated Medical Customer Service Representative to join our team in Carmichael, California. In this role, you will provide exceptional support to patients and healthcare providers, ensuring smooth operations within a medical office setting. This is a long-term contract position, offering a consistent schedule and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care. Responsibilities: u2022 Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries and providing accurate information about medical services. u2022 Schedule patient appointments efficiently while ensuring proper documentation and compliance with clinic procedures. u2022 Verify medical insurance details and assist patients with billing inquiries to ensure transparency and satisfaction. u2022 Utilize electronic practice management systems to maintain accurate patient records and streamline office operations. u2022 Handle inbound calls professionally, offering assistance and resolving concerns in a timely manner. u2022 Support the medical team by managing administrative tasks and coordinating patient interactions. u2022 Conduct reminder calls for upcoming appointments, ensuring patients are informed and prepared. u2022 Facilitate patient check-in and check-out processes, maintaining a welcoming and organized environment. u2022 Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize clinic workflow and enhance patient experiences. u2022 Operate standard office equipment and software to complete daily administrative responsibilities effectively. Requirements u2022 High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification. u2022 At least six months of experience in a medical office or outpatient setting is preferred. u2022 Proven customer service experience in a high-volume environment, ideally within the healthcare industry. u2022 Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills to build positive relationships with patients and staff. u2022 Familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to apply it in everyday tasks. u2022 Proficiency in keyboarding and using computer systems, including electronic practice management software. u2022 Knowledge of patient scheduling, billing, and insurance verification processes. u2022 Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
