Accounting Clerk

Description We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Babylon, New York. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in records, and supporting overall accounting operations. Responsibilities: u2022 Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with precision and efficiency. u2022 Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in QuickBooks and other accounting systems. u2022 Perform data entry tasks to ensure all financial information is properly documented. u2022 Handle invoice processing, including verifying, coding, and reconciling invoices. u2022 Assist in preparing financial reports and summaries for management review. u2022 Communicate with vendors and clients to resolve payment discrepancies and inquiries. u2022 Support month-end and year-end closing procedures. u2022 Ensure compliance with company policies and standard accounting practices. u2022 Collaborate with team members to improve workflows and streamline processes. Requirements u2022 At least 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field. u2022 Proficiency in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes. u2022 Strong knowledge of QuickBooks and its functionalities. u2022 Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy. u2022 Familiarity with invoice processing and reconciliation. u2022 Ability to work independently and as part of a team. u2022 Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors and colleagues. u2022 Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
