Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team in Fairfield, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting essential accounting functions, including cash reporting, accounts receivable management, and financial processes. Responsibilities: u2022 Perform reconciliations and reporting related to cash transactions. u2022 Process customer payments and ensure timely handling of financial activities. u2022 Maintain and update customer account records with precision and accuracy. u2022 Generate and distribute invoices to clients in compliance with company policies. u2022 Monitor and manage accounts receivable, ensuring effective collections. u2022 Assist in month-end closing procedures, including preparing journal entries. u2022 Support the preparation and review of financial reports as needed. u2022 Collaborate with team members to address and resolve accounting discrepancies. u2022 Apply knowledge of corporate tax and sales tax to ensure compliance. u2022 Utilize general ledger systems to maintain accurate financial records.Key Responsibilities: + Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and other documentation (Source: 2026 RH Salary Guide.xlsx). + Perform account reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and resolve discrepancies. + Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes. + Record and review journal entries while maintaining accurate general ledger accounts. + Monitor compliance with company policies, accounting standards (e.g., GAAP or IFRS), and relevant regulations. + Prepare and assist with external and internal audits by maintaining supporting documentation and records. + Analyze financial data to identify variances or trends and recommend corrective actions as needed. + Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate financial reporting and to facilitate smooth operations across departments. + Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by providing relevant financial data. + Provide general support to the accounting team and perform additional duties as assigned.
