Job Title: Lead Electrical Engineer Job Description We are seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to design and customize electrical control circuits for high-voltage circuit breakers. This role involves creating schematics, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials while ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. The successful candidate will collaborate with the commercial team to assess technical feasibility, provide engineering input, and support proposal development. Direct engagement with customers to clarify technical requirements, address inquiries, and ensure alignment on engineered solutions is also essential. Responsibilities + Design and customize electrical control circuits for high-voltage circuit breakers. + Create schematics, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials. + Ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. + Collaborate with the commercial team to assess technical feasibility and support proposal development. + Engage directly with customers to clarify technical requirements and address inquiries. + Work with R&D to develop and refine product designs and enhancements. + Support production by resolving technical issues and ensuring smooth handoff from engineering to manufacturing. + Maintain and improve databases for accuracy, standardization, and ease of use across engineering workflows. Essential Skills + Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited university or college. + Minimum 5 years working as an electrical engineer in a manufacturing environment. + Experience working with customers on engineer-to-order products. + Ability to analyze customer specifications and understand job requirements. + Proficiency in AutoCAD software. + Experience using ERP systems, with SAP preferred. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Previous experience in leading complex technical projects. + Prior experience with high voltage circuit breakers or related substation components is a plus. Work Environment The position is located in a manufacturing environment where collaboration with production teams is essential. Candidates should be willing to troubleshoot technical issues alongside production teams. A professional dress code is expected when engaging with customers. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charleroi, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.48 - $50.48/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
