R&d Lab Technician

R&D Lab Technician Join a dynamic team focused on electronics development, working in a fast-paced R&D environment where prototypes are churned through rapidly to determine which ones advance to production. The role involves assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of prototype electronics and electromechanical assemblies, primarily in a lab setting. Responsibilities + Assemble and test prototype electronics and electromechanical assemblies. + Perform PCBA soldering, including through hole and surface mount techniques. + Conduct wiring and wire harness assembly. + Read and interpret schematics, bill of materials, and assembly instructions. + Manage and maintain an electronics lab, providing occasional support in an R&D test lab. + Support internal and external product development projects. + Troubleshoot PCB's to component level and perform testing. Essential Skills + 3-10 years of experience in electronics or electromechanical background, with mid-level experience. + Ability to read schematics and blueprints. + Hands-on experience, ideally with R&D/NPD background. + PCBA soldering skills, both through hole and surface mount. Additional Skills & Qualifications + LabView programming and data acquisition experience. + Data analysis capabilities. + Troubleshooting skills at the component level. + BS or Associates degree can substitute for 1-2 years of experience. Work Environment The role is primarily lab-based but may require occasional work on the production floor. The team consists of mechanical, software, and hardware engineers, with a need for an electrical specialist.
