Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Paralegal to join our team in Southfield, Michigan. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a vital role in supporting legal processes related to plaintiff medical malpractice cases. This role requires a proactive individual with expertise in litigation and trial preparation. Responsibilities: u2022 Assist in managing plaintiff medical malpractice cases, ensuring all documentation and filings are accurate and timely. u2022 Conduct thorough discovery processes, including gathering and organizing evidence. u2022 Prepare for trials by coordinating schedules, organizing exhibits, and assisting attorneys with trial-related tasks. u2022 Utilize case management software to track case progress, deadlines, and correspondence. u2022 Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and subpoenas under attorney supervision. u2022 Collaborate with attorneys to research case law and prepare legal arguments. u2022 Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in the litigation process. u2022 Maintain organized case files and ensure confidentiality of sensitive legal information. u2022 Monitor court deadlines and ensure compliance with all procedural requirements. Requirements u2022 Proven experience as a Paralegal, preferably in plaintiff medical malpractice cases. u2022 Strong knowledge of discovery processes and civil litigation procedures. u2022 Proficiency in trial preparation, including coordinating schedules and organizing exhibits. u2022 Familiarity with case management software and other legal tools. u2022 Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. u2022 Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously. u2022 Effective communication skills to interact with attorneys, clients, and court personnel. u2022 A Paralegal certification or relevant legal education is preferred.
