In this position... The Maintenance Supervisor position is a supervisory leadership role supported by on-the-job training, development, and opportunity for career progression. Maintenance Supervisors are: + Resilient + Detail oriented + Ambitious + Demonstrate high integrity What you'll do... + Create a safety culture and apply and implement workplace policies + Lead/ coach skilled trades/maintenance personnel in all aspects of asset management including but not limited to: asset availability (mean time to repair, mean time between failure), cycle time, preventative maintenance, predictive and condition-based monitoring technologies. + Line up, pay, and supervise Skilled Trades during production shifts and maintenance shifts alike. + Lead/coach teams in leveraging new and existing machine monitoring tools to identify constraints in the system and systematically reduce and eliminate interruptions in production flow. + Build strong interpersonal relationships with hourly team members, union, and management teams. + Communicate effectively with hourly team members, leaders, business partners and customers + Administer the CBA (collective bargaining agreement) consistently and effectively + Evaluate team member performance and encourage continuous improvement You'll have... + High School Diploma or GED + 1+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing experience + Working knowledge in Microsoft: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook + Ability to work rotating shifts and hours, including nights and weekends as needed + Fundamental working knowledge of PLC logic and controls + Familiarity with robotics + Mechanical aptitude + Demonstrated leadership skills Required Behaviors + Two-way communicator who actively listens to hourly team members, leaders, business partners and customers + Outstanding interpersonal teambuilding and communication skills + Experience navigating in a union environment + Values different opinions & is open to ideas & perspectives from others + Highly committed to continuous improvement and quality, while applying innovative solutions with a customer-first mindset + Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism in difficult and stressful situations Even better, you may have... + Bacheloru2019s Degree + Experience supervising staff in a Unionized Workforce. + Safety and quality experience + Six Sigma: Black or Green Belt certified + Knowledge of constraint management principles + Prior experience managing a unionized workforce You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice.
