As a Survivability Staff Engineer, you will lead and / or support the Specialty Engineering team in one or more of the following areas: u2022 Applying electrical, electronics, and physics theories to execute various tasks related to the Survivability engineering field u2022 Ensuring that missile designs, from the component level to the system level, will meet performance requirements during and after exposure to specified environments; these environments include natural space and man-made nuclear radiation u2022 Conducting technical planning, specification requirements derivation, test and analysis, design, planning and execution, documentation, and requirements /validation to support overall system needs and act as a technical consultant for management and customers u2022 Joining a Survivability Engineering group and will be partnered with other authorities. u2022 Serving in a technical lead role, both independently and with others, in executing Survivability tasks and delivering results, while maintaining collaboration with other Survivability Engineers within the FBM program. u2022 Mentoring junior engineers within Survivability Engineering To be successful, you will typically have at least 9 years of professional experience with a Bachelor's degree, 7 years with a Master's degree, or 4 years with a related PhD. - - - You can learn more about Denver, CO by visiting this link. Security Clearance / Work Authorization: u2022 To meet requirements of the program/customer, this position requires the selected employee to be a U.S. Citizen. u2022 Active Secret clearance is necessary to be considered and is the minimum level of clearance required prior to start. u2022 Candidates must have the ability to obtain (and maintain), a Top Secret security clearance for long-term employment on this program. Desired Skills: u2022 Rad Hard By Design (RHBD) electronics design and architecture experience u2022 Experience using electrical engineering simulation tools and software tools for performing electrical engineering and mathematical analyses (e.g., MATLAB, SPICE, PSPICE, etc.) u2022 Experience in circuit simulation and modeling for design, worst case analysis, nuclear survivability, electrical overstress, and failure analysis of electronic circuits u2022 Experience with electronic, electrical, electromechanical and electro-optical (EEEE) components u2022 Experience with radiation testing (e.g. TID, SEE, nDD, prompt dose rate, etc) and test facilities ( e.g. TAMU, Brookhaven, West Coast Facility, etc) u2022 Experience with Piece-part radiation testing and radiation effects on piece-parts performance and reliability u2022 Radiation software tools (e.g., : PUFF-TFT, MCNP, CEPXS, NOVICE, Srim/Trim, Novice/Geant4, Creme96, Crememc, Shieldose, Spenvis, Omere, Ap8/Ae8, and Ap9/Ae9) u2022 Missile or space segment design and/or test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering u2022 Experience supporting anomaly resolution teams u2022 Enthusiastic learner and willingness to be an apprentice to senior experts in the NH&S discipline u2022 Ability to lead multi-functional teams and lead multiple teams to communicate and coordinate work as one team with common goals u2022 Organized and able to effectively multi-task to accomplish this fast paced job u2022 Computer skills including Microsoft Office and SharePoint u2022 Bacheloru2019s Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related engineering discipline (or equivalent) with approximately 9 years or more of professional experience u2022 Active Top Secret security clearance Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $109,200 - $192,510. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidateu2019s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
