Accountant - Entry Level

Description We are looking for an entry-level Accountant to join our team in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey. Accountant Responsibilities: u2022 Process and manage accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments. u2022 Perform bank reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies. u2022 Assist with reconciling accounts to maintain accurate financial records. u2022 Handle accounts receivable tasks, including invoicing and payment follow-ups. u2022 Record and review accounting entries to ensure compliance with company policies. u2022 Support month-end and year-end closing activities by preparing necessary reports. u2022 Collaborate with team members to improve accounting processes and workflows. u2022 Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation. u2022 Respond to inquiries related to accounts and transactions with careful attention to detail. u2022 Ensure adherence to all relevant accounting standards and regulations. Requirements Accountant Requirements: u2022 At least 1 year of experience in accounting or a related field. u2022 Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks. u2022 Familiarity with performing bank and account reconciliations. u2022 Ability to accurately record and review accounting entries. u2022 Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. u2022 Effective communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external stakeholders. u2022 Knowledge of accounting principles and relevant regulations. u2022 Proficiency in using accounting software and tools.
