Paralegal

Description We are looking for an experienced paralegal specializing in estates and trusts to join our team in Hunt Valley, Maryland. This role is primarily focused on the administration of estates and trusts, including handling complex matters for high-net-worth clients. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in preparing relevant tax filings and probate documentation, along with proficiency in related software tools. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare federal and Maryland estate tax returns, fiduciary income tax returns, and federal gift tax returns. u2022 Complete Maryland probate filings, including petitions, inventories, and accountings. u2022 Assist with drafting and organizing simpler estate planning documents as needed. u2022 Utilize software tools and Excel to manage and process estate and trust administration tasks. u2022 Collaborate with attorneys and other team members to ensure accurate and timely completion of client matters. u2022 Research and interpret relevant laws and regulations related to estates and trusts. u2022 Maintain detailed and organized records for all filings and documentation. u2022 Communicate professionally with clients and external parties regarding estate and trust matters. u2022 Provide support in the preparation of reports and analyses for complex estate cases. Requirements u2022 Proven experience as a paralegal specializing in estates and trusts administration. u2022 Proficiency in preparing federal and Maryland estate tax returns, fiduciary income tax returns, and federal gift tax returns. u2022 Familiarity with Maryland probate procedures and documentation. u2022 Strong knowledge of tax laws related to estates and trusts. u2022 Advanced skills in Excel and relevant software packages. u2022 Excellent organizational and attention-to-detail capabilities. u2022 Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. u2022 Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
