Please Note this position is for 2nd shift Monday through Thursday As a Production Quality Engineer, you will support Production Operations. This position will apply quality principles in the areas of: design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation, program performance, reliability, inventory control, and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality for make and/or buy products. Perform technical evaluations including product requirements, specifications, models/designs, drawings and procedures. Collaborate with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and customers on quality related issues to ensure quality standards are in place. Engage in product failure investigations, material review board decisions and corrective/preventive action. Ensure corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and/or are compliant with requirements. Develop strategies and systems designed to improve internal and/or supplier performance and productivity. Evaluate quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. Design and analyze inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conduct product quality tests, perform statistical analysis to assess products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications. Basic Qualifications: To be successful in this role you will need to possess the following requirements: u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree from an accredited college in technical discipline (e.g., engineering field) or equivalent discipline (e.g., Chemical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering) u2022 Knowledge of manufacturing/quality processes and documentation u2022 Ability to comprehend and interpret drawings, work instructions, schematics, and specifications u2022 Root Cause Analysis experience u2022 Demonstrates thorough attention to detail u2022 Required to work off shifts, overtime and nonstandard work weeks as needed to meet product deliveries u2022 Must be able to obtain Secret Security Clearance. Requires an interim Secret clearance prior to start Desired Skills: u2022 Experience with PR/MRB process (PR/QMRB certification preferred) u2022 Experience driving robust Corrective Actions Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA certification preferred) u2022 Experience working independently with customers and suppliers u2022 Experience creating and modifying Receiving Inspection Plans u2022 Green Belt Trained and/or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) u2022 Team lead or formal leadership experience u2022 Understands lean manufacturing and quality optimization in a production environment u2022 Experience with SAP, P2P, VECAMS, and data analytics to report trends and achieve results u2022 Excellent communication skills to engage the team, customers and senior leaders u2022 Resourceful self-starter possessing a
