Description We are looking for a skilled Software Developer to join our team in Ridgefield, Connecticut. This is a contract position with the potential for a permanent role, offering the opportunity to contribute to innovative projects in the wholesale distribution industry. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with business teams and management to design and maintain applications that support various internal functions, including sales, finance, HR, and analytics. Responsibilities: u2022 Design, develop, and maintain custom business applications using C# and .NET technologies. u2022 Collaborate with business teams to gather requirements and deliver tailored software solutions. u2022 Utilize data warehousing tools and analytics platforms, such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik, to support business intelligence initiatives. u2022 Work with Microsoft SQL Server or similar databases to ensure efficient data management and integration. u2022 Implement third-party development tools such as Redgate and DevExpress to enhance application functionality. u2022 Provide technical insights and solutions to optimize internal workflows and processes. u2022 Analyze and resolve issues related to software performance and functionality. u2022 Participate in team discussions and contribute to strategic technology decisions. u2022 Stay updated on emerging technologies and apply them to improve existing systems. u2022 Support the development and deployment of scalable solutions across various divisions of the company. Requirements u2022 Proficiency in C# and .NET Framework, with a solid understanding of software development principles. u2022 Hands-on experience with data warehousing and business intelligence tools, such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik. u2022 Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server or comparable database systems. u2022 Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. u2022 Knowledge of third-party tools like Redgate and DevExpress is a plus. u2022 Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with IT counterparts and business teams. u2022 Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, evolving business environment and learn new technologies. u2022 Background in the food distribution industry is highly desirable but not required.
