We are dedicated to adding significant value through the data we provide for our clients and the communities we serve.Our Surveying and Geomatics group is seeking a Project Surveyor in Salt Lake City.At DEA, we are dedicated to utilizing cutting-edge technology to deliver exceptional service to our clients. This position offers exposure to both traditional and emerging geospatial tools while working on a wide variety of exciting projects.What You'll DoKey Responsibilities:Manage survey projects independently, from start to finishCommunicate effectively with clients to understand and address project needsApply knowledge of Utah state and county mapping requirementsEnsure compliance with UDOT survey standardsCollaborate with DEA staff and clients on diverse projectsMentor and coach junior survey staff (preferred experience)What You BringRequired Qualifications:Licensed Utah Professional Land Surveyor (PLS), or ability to obtain license within one year if licensed out of stateMinimum of 5 years of relevant surveying experienceProven ability to self-manage projects and maintain strong client relationshipsExperience working with both public and private sector clientsFamiliarity with Utah state and county mapping requirementsPreferred Qualifications:Prior experience directing field and office survey crewsDemonstrated ability to mentor and coach junior staff within the survey professionStrong computer skills with CAD and land surveying software, including AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, Leica, and TrimbleWhat We Offer?We foster an environment where talented professionals have the freedom and support to do their most meaningful work.
