This role is uniquelydesigned for a seasoned professional who will serve as a technicalmentor, leveraging their extensive experience to guide and develop ourengineering team across a diverse range of projects. How you can make an impact You will serve as a GeotechnicalExpert and as a Technical Advisor to our project teams and clients ongeotechnical aspects of landfills and other facility design,construction quality assurance (CQA), soil and groundwater remediation,and environmental engineering projects. As our Geotechnical Expert youwill contribute to SCS by adapting your geotechnical engineeringcapabilities to the landfill and environmental consulting industry.Examples of geotechnical engineering as it applies to our practiceinclude: Measuring and predicting settlement. Providing slope stabilitymodeling for new and old landfills, embankments, and excavations.Conducting geotechnical/hydrogeological investigations for wastemanagement facilities and other environmental projects. Siting, designand regulatory permitting of new and expanding landfills. Designing andpreparing construction specifications for remediation, energyproduction, landfill and other waste management facility projects.Providing recommendations for structural design of foundations forvarious types of facilities and equipment. For construction projects,designing and planning construction quality assurance (CQA) activitiesto verify construction complies with design and permit requirements.Preparing proposals and cost estimates for new projects Providinggeotechnical education and training to SCS staff Other...
