We are seeking an Assistant (IntellectualProperty) to provide executive legal assistance to attorneys and/orparaprofessionals in the daily operation of the Intellectual Propertylaw department by providing quality work product for clients. In thisrole, you will assist the department in US and foreign patentprosecution filings by fulfilling executive assistant duties and theperformance of complex secretarial and clerical tasks to producedocuments and meet requirements of the patent prosecution process, usingthe firm standard word processing and other applicable software.Responsibilities Assist attorneys by providing executive leveladministrative assistance through the performance of complex secretarialand clerical duties including: meeting planning and coordination, clientcommunication, and scheduling, etc. Draft and completedocuments/paperwork supporting patent prosecution by accurately andpromptly completing necessary forms, documentation and otheradministrative tasks Schedule appointments and make arrangements forconferences and travel; maintain attorney's calendar, contacts anddaily docket to ensure that deadlines are met Create, organize andmaintain client files, follow up on pending matters Set up meetings asrequested, ensuring all required materials are organized in advance andgreet clients/guests as necessary Interact professionally and promptlywith clients and internal parties by reporting filing information andresponding to questions appropriately Open new client andclient-matters, communicate relevant bar dates, priority information,working attorney and paralegal information to Docketing Create andupdate FLIP Form Data Record Assist with preparation of shell documentsand edit the following documents for filing: new applications,amendments & responses and other USPTO filing documents QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED required, Bachelor's Degree preferred#LI-Hybrid Experience as a legal assistant strongly preferred In supportof transparency and equity in the workplace, Foley provides salaryranges for all positions.
