Qualified candidates will be responsible for guidance, instruction, direction, and leadership for a group of 15+ technical engineering staff to achieve discipline, team and individual team member goals.We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located.What You Will Do:Perform technical work and QA/QC in addition to managing the work of othersAct as subject matter expert providing project deliverable development oversight, creating/refining and implementing technical processes and furnishing technical support to the Woolpert markets and practices.Develop and reinforce QA/QC standardsCreate and oversee the quality of deliverables prepared by team membersSupport client relationships and business development in support of strategic business plan.Technical Leadership:Perform technical work and QA/QC in addition to managing the work of othersAct as subject matter expert providing project deliverable development oversight, creating/refining and implementing technical processes and furnishing technical support to the Woolpert markets and practicesDevelop and reinforce QA/QC standardsCreate and oversee the quality of deliverables prepared by team membersTrain, coach and mentor staff existing or new technical requirementsResolve issues impacting technical project objectivesLead or support team in technical scope and budget/pricing development for proposals and dynamic project planningSupport client relationships and business development in support of strategic business planAct as key point of internal contact for technical needsProvide monthly report of resource planning, percent completes, budget dollar variance and market communicationsPeople Management:Responsible for supervising, managing, and motivating team members daily to function in a goal-oriented mannerThrough supportive leadership, create an inspiring and trusting team environment promoting the growth of team members with open communication cultureUtilize their expertise, their peers, influence, and/or creativeness to formulate smooth team operations and effective collaborationResponsible for effective planning and scheduling of workload and performance of team membersEnsures team is right-sized, right-skilled and managed to 110% capacity through accurate and efficient use of Resource PlanningFundamentals training and coaching to team membersWhat You Will Bring:Must have a Bachelor Degree in Civil EngineeringMinimum of 10 years of applicable industry experience within the aviation sector.Minimum of 5 years progressive leadership experience requiredActive Professional Engineer LicenseBenefits You Will LoveCertified as a Great Place to Work, Woolpert is one of the fastest-growing architecture, engineering, and geospatial companies in the world.
