Our Opening and Your ResponsibilitiesRole/Purpose:The Production Technician Specialist is responsible for executing validation strategies on Vision, Checkweighers, Metal Detectors, and/or X-Ray systems to provide documented evidence that our processes, products and software have been commissioned, qualified and/or validated in a manner that meets or exceeds our customer expectations.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Configure hardware and softwareConduct Factory System Test (FST)Document inspection results by completing reports and logsSummarize rework and waste trendsInput data into disturbance database and ERP systemIndependently engage the troubleshooting and triaging of issues with different teams to drive towards resolutionHandles problem escalations to appropriate teams when necessaryFollow and troubleshoot using detailed mechanical prints, electrical schematics, parts lists, assembly instruction, processes and proceduresValidate the construction of product inspection equipment in accordance with Risk Assessment and Safe Mechanical and Electrical guidelinesEnsure all aspects of equipment safety complies with corporate standardsAssemble product inspection systems as designed when requiredProvide hands on job function training to other Production Technicians to include following detailed mechanical/electrical schematics, prints, parts lists, assembly instructions, processes and procedures and incorporate training to include how to use these skills for troubleshooting and triageDocument actions by completing quality checklistsConduct product assembly set up and system de-bugAssist and train other Production Technicians and Technical Assemblers in set up and system de-bug.Collaborate with development teams to resolve more advanced issues when necessaryAccurately track and record time spent on solutionsDetermine changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting using rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instrumentsAdheres to all company policies and proceduresAbility to safely lift 50 lbs. and work in multiple positions (ie stand, sit, lay, squat, bend, kneel) for prolonged periods of timeOther duties and tasks assignedWhat You Need to SucceedRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Self-starter who exhibits a professional demeanor, enthusiasm, good communications and the ability to work independently with minimal supervisionAbility to handle multiple projects and deliver on project timelines with little supervisionWell organized with meticulous attention to detailSufficient knowledge of Schematic Drawing, CAD data and BOM structure (Bill of Material)Good understanding of the A3 process and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologyElectrical and Mechanical aptitudeExcellent understanding on how to use a multi-meterExcellent technical documentation skillsAbility to safely lift 50 lbs. and work in multiple positions (ie stand, sit, lay, squat, bend, kneel) for prolonged periods of timeExcellent communication skillsExcellent organizational skills with a keen focus to detailProficient in Microsoft OfficeOVERTIME MAY BE REQUIRED BASED ON BUSINESS NEEDS.This position is considered safety sensitive and is subject to drug testing as permitted by law.Minimum Education / Experience Required:Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year technical schooland5+ years of experience in a production environment with industry comparable Technical Assembler and Production Technician ExperienceorRated as a Lvl IV subject matter expert in MT Technical Assembler fields based on our internal Assembly Training/Skills Matrix or equivalent trainingOur Offer to YouMedical, dental and vision care coverage and a 401(k) savings plan with company matching - all starting on date of hire
