Job Description Location: Chicago, Illinois Hospital: Rush University Medical Center Department: Neurosurgery Work Type: Full Time Spine Neurosurgery u2013 Clinical Faculty Rush University Medical Center Chicago, IL Rush University Medical Center , a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges, invites applications for the position of Spine Neurosurgery at the Assistant Professor level . Description: u2022 Department of Neurosciences is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible neurosurgeon with fellowship training in complex spine surgery to join our dynamic practice. u2022 The Neurosurgeon will treat patients with all types of spinal disorders utilizing the latest in standard and innovative surgical techniques. u2022 Teaching responsibilities include education of medical students, residents, and spine fellows. u2022 Research or scholarship responsibilities may include primary and collaborative research in spinal surgery with funding from the NIH or other federal agencies, philanthropy, or industry. u2022 Ambition for involvement and leadership in national/international spinal surgical societies is preferred. Requirements: u2022 Candidates should have a strong desire to develop a robust clinical practice as well as innovative clinical programs in spine surgery and should expect to assist in the growth of the clinical, education and research program. u2022 Clinical training in endoscopic spine surgery is preferred.
