SummaryJob Description:Registered Nurse-ORFull Time I First ShiftOperating Room I Lexington, KY$15,000 Sign on Bonus Available for Qualified IndividualsBaptist Health Lexington Surgical Services Department encompasses several key areas: the Pre-Op Department, 20 operating rooms with a business office staff responsible for scheduling, a Postoperative Care Unit, an Endoscopy Department with dedicated pre- and post-op areas, and a Sterile Processing Department.Description Registered Nurse:- Assessment of patients' needs.- Development of patient care plan/s- Provision of direct care.- Management of patient care delivery.- Demonstrate leadership skills.- Support for quality care.- Customer relations and healing environment.- On call requirement weekends/holidays picked by rotation.- Operating Room Nurses provide care and support to patients before, during and after surgery.- Clinical decision-making incorporates all four phases of the nursing process, critical thinking and creativity.- Must possess ability to supervise and delegate appropriate work to Patient Care Techs, Licensed Practical Nurses, Unit Secretaries, and Students.Requirements Registered Nurse:- Current RN licensure and work permit in Kentucky.- Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.- Applicants with an associate degree in nursing and less than 10 years of experience must enroll within 12 months of hire in a bachelor's degree program and must have achieved the degree within 5 years.- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
